Lessons Are you looking for more from your instructor? Then you have come to the right place. Here at Tailor Made Training, I offer lessons in Hunter/ Jumper, Combined Driving, Pleasure Driving and Western Pleasure. I emphasize on correct communication, equitation, and balance between the rider/driver and the horse . I am a certified instructor in Hunter/ Jumper as well as Western Pleasure with the American Riding Instructor Association. I am currently working on getting certified in Combined Driving. I have limited lesson horses available as well as I accept horses and riders who wish to trailer into Tailor Made Training. My lesson programs consist of a "set" plan, which is a package of 4 consecutive lessons that are based on one hour lesson for 4 consecutive weeks. The "set" program is pre-paid for the 4 lessons. You can also do what is called "doubling up", which would be 2 lessons a week. I also have "Pay as You Go" lessons, which are paid for at the end of each lesson. Lessons INCLUDE proper tacking and untacking of the horse. I believe that knowing how to correctly tack up and take care of your horse is just as important as knowing how to ride/drive correctly. I have rainy day activities, so in case of bad weather, the lessons do still go on, just on the ground. I stress in all my lessons correct position, balance, independent thinking, and self-confidence. Teamwork with the horse is the key to my lessons and understanding how to use this knowledge is most important to me. I also offer to take students that have any interest in showing, to local open shows during the show season. Prices vary depending on the location and length of the show.. There are several payment options when choosing the type of lesson plan that will fit your needs. Here at Tailor Made Training, I build my lesson plans around what the student wants to accomplish.

Training Whether you need a horse started or just "tuned-up," Tailor Made Training has just what you are looking for. I offer over 20 years of experience of working with many different breeds of horses and with different disciplines. I use a resistance free type of method, with the basis being with Ray Hunt techniques. I offer packages that include board and training and are "Tailor Made" to fit your needs and your budget. I accept young horses for training that need to be broke to ride or to drive, as well as those horses that need a" tune-up" or are having a problem. I also work with horses that already know how to drive and would like to enter into Combined Driving Events or the Pleasure driving arena. No matter what the case may be, I always like to work closely with the owner to be sure that when the horse returns home, there will be a smooth transfer between myself, the owner, and the horse. Prices do vary depending on the type of training that needs to be done and the length of time for the training to be completed.
